Affiliate Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Brands Seekers handles personal information connected with applications, affiliate accounts, referral tracking, commission administration and payments. It supplements the general Brands Seekers privacy and cookie notices.

Information we process

Application and account details may include your legal or business name, contact information, country, websites or social channels, audience and promotional-method information, affiliate account status and communications. Approved affiliates may provide payee and bank-transfer information after approval. Referral and commission records include referral identifiers, click timestamps, attributed order references, eligible merchandise values, commission status, adjustments and payment references. Affiliate reports do not expose customer names, addresses, contact details or card information.

Why we use it

We use affiliate information to review applications, administer the affiliate relationship, provide account access, attribute eligible orders, calculate and validate commission, prevent abuse, process USD bank-transfer payouts, maintain accounting and legal records, answer disputes and comply with legal obligations. Optional marketing is handled separately from necessary program notices.

Tracking

Affiliate tracking may use first-party referral technology to preserve a valid referral window. Tracking is not guaranteed and can be affected by browser settings, consent choices, blockers, deleted cookies or a change of device or browser. We do not authorise affiliates to defeat customer privacy choices.

Sharing and transfers

Information may be handled by service providers that support hosting, email, fraud prevention, accounting and banking, subject to appropriate arrangements. Bank details are disclosed as needed to execute a payment. Receiving and intermediary banks process transfers under their own legal and regulatory obligations.

Retention and security

We retain application, transaction, acceptance, dispute and payment records for as long as reasonably necessary for the affiliate relationship and applicable accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention and dispute requirements. The plugin encrypts bank-transfer details at rest using keys derived from the WordPress security salts and restricts access to authorised administrators.

Your choices and rights

You can update account and bank information, opt out of optional marketing, and contact us about access, correction or other rights that apply under relevant law. Do not send customer card details, passwords or unnecessary identity documents when raising an affiliate transaction query.
